 AllPhase Reconditioned Equipment Tracking Software
This software package was written for companies who sell reconditioned equipment, though it can also be readily modified to track and manage any type of asset. What follows is a detailed description of the user interface, which is utilized throughout this and the AllPhase Accounting system.
The above selections are the main screens/browsers for tracking equipment through all of its many possible phases. Some of the above have links that will display a sample screen shot of the selected screen/browser. Looking at one of the pictures of the screen, the yellow menu pads in <braces> in the center of the screen, have several functions - to add/edit/delete entries, to drill down to detail information, to change the order of the records being displayed in the browser, to <Go To> other main screens directly for the selected record, etc.
This is how the interface provides one-click access to most information about any selected record.
For example, using the picture of the Inventory screen (click on the first option above) - to find an item by Manufacturer/Model you simply begin typing the Manufacturer's name. (Of course this only works in the real system, not in the screen shot you have opened.) Or to find the item by its unique item number, you click on the yellow <Item> pad in the center of the screen, and type the item number. The highlighter in the lower browse window will jump to that record, and its detailed contents will be displayed in the screen above the yellow menu pads. To browse just your available items, click on the <Available> button, and then search as described above. All of the screens utilize this same interface layout, so by learning one screen, all the rest are readily understood.
Users have always agreed that this interface is the best for retrieval that they have ever used. No tedious clicking to invoke a search box, then typing your search request in the box, followed by clicking on OK, etc. To locate a record, simply start typing and an incremental search begins based on the <yellow sort pad> selected.
